Horseback Riding

At Lake Tahoe, all trails lead to family fun! Zephyr Cove Resort Stables' guided horseback trail rides are a terrific way to experience this area’s serenity and beauty. As you amble over forested scenic trails you'll enjoy amazing vistas of the crystal clear blue lake and the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains.

Choose a one, one-and-a-half or two-hour ride—all with friendly cowboys as your guide. Add to the fun with a Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner Ride where you enjoy a trail ride (approximately one hour), then a ride in a hay trailer back to the picnic area for a hearty meal sure to please cowboys and gals alike. Please note: Minimum of 10 riders required for meal rides.

Fishing

America’s premier Alpine Lake offers anglers a year-round challenge. We're here to make your Lake Tahoe experience enjoyable and memorable. If you're itching to drop a line in the water, ask at the Lodge Front Desk or the Marina about arranging an unforgettable fishing adventure with Tahoe Sport Fishing, offering departures right from the Zephyr Cove Marina.

Experienced Captains will guide you to the lake’s hot spots. All boats have the latest fish-finding technology and equipment. All the gear you need is supplied, from poles to tackle to bait. (If required, a 2-day California fishing license may be purchased for an additional charge.)Year-round charters on Tahoe’s largest fishing fleet.

Beach Boat Rentals

Glide over Lake Tahoe 's brilliant blue waters on an exhilarating powerboat ride with you at the helm. Make a splash on one of our fun WaveRunners™. Explore the alpine waters on a kayak, canoe or pedal boat. If it has to do with fun on the water, you'll find it at Zephyr Cove Marina. Check out all our exhilarating water craft and water sports rentals—ski tubes, wakeboards, kneeboards, water skis—even wetsuits.

Beach Volleyball

Did you know beach volleyball became a separate Olympic event in 1996? And do you know that Zephyr Cove Resort's one mile of sandy beach boasts Tahoe's best volleyball courts? The sand courts at this scenic spot are the setting for lively tournaments over the summer. Come and watch the players in action, or gather a group for your own friendly competition. Court use is free, and volleyballs are available. When the game's over, it's a just a few step from the courts to the popular Sunset Bar & Grille with towel-side beverage service, as well as beach chair and umbrella rentals.

From Tahoe memorabilia to the necessities, we’ve got you covered. Need a cool hat? How about something hot for the beach? Or something to keep you warm in winter? In the lodge at Zephyr Cove, you'll find our large Gift Shop & General Store has everything you need.

From terrific seasonal apparel to great Tahoe souvenirs, gifts and decorative items chosen for their quality and value, you'll enjoy browsing for it in our store. You can also pick up something great to read about the Tahoe area and history as well as stay up to date with current newspapers and magazines. And, of course, you’ll find necessities like film, beverages, snacks, sunglasses, sunscreen, sundries, groceries and other supplies.

The Shops at our two beach locations in Zephyr Cove offer similar items, with special emphasis on supplies for boaters, beach goers and cruise passengers.

You’ll also find gift shops on board the M.S. Dixie II and the Tahoe Queen. Browse their great assortment of souvenirs and gifts, including t-shirts and cuddly Tahoe Tessie plush toys. So when you're aboard, bring ashore a great reminder of your cruise on Big Blue.
