Tahoe Queen Mark Twain's Tales of a Tahoe Cruise (June – Mid-September) This two-hour cruise brings legends of Lake Tahoe to life through the words of the man who first hiked here from Carson City in 1861 and pronounced this “the fairest picture the whole earth affords.” Nationally acclaimed impressionist McAvoy Layne is the Ghost of Mark Twain who colorfully relates the “Tales of Tahoe”—one for adults and one for children—on this scenic voyage to spectacular Emerald Bay.
