Celebrating the Inaugural launch of the Tahoe Queen 25 years ago (August 11, 1983) The Tahoe Queen, was built on the Mississippi River in 1983, then moved to Lake Tahoe where it was reassembled. Lake Tahoe's famous triple-decker, paddlewheeler is 144 feet long and 33 feet wide and operates under United States Coast Guard regulations and conforms to rigid requirements for passenger safety.
