The M.S. Dixie II

M.S. Dixie II (Zephyr Cove Resort)

It’s true – this Lake Tahoe boat tour has fans! The 520-passenger, award-winning M.S. Dixie II is the largest cruising vessel in South Lake Tahoe, and a local favorite. Considered one of South Lake Tahoe’s most entertaining and affordable water activities, the M.S. Dixie II has been voted “Best Cruise in Nevada” by Nevada Magazine.

Your choice of Tahoe cruises includes the popular Daytime Scenic Cruises and the enchanting Sunset Dinner Dance Cruise to Emerald Bay. All M.S. Dixie II cruises depart directly from Zephyr Cove Resort. All passengers are required to have an official boarding pass which can only be obtained at the ticket counter in Zephyr Cove Lodge. Summer Parking at Zephyr Cove Resort is charged at $8 per day. Smoking is prohibited aboard the M.S. Dixie II. We provide complimentary Shuttle pick-up and drop-off service.

Handicap Accessibility: The M.S. Dixie II comes equipped with a handicap-accessible restroom. Wheelchairs are permitted on the boat, but there are no elevators on board to take the guest to the second deck.

M.S. Dixie II Emerald Bay Sightseeing Cruise

This two-hour narrated tahoe boat cruise offers non-stop photo opportunities to the crown jewel of South Lake Tahoe – Emerald Bay. As you cruise to, through, and back from Emerald Bay, you'll learn how it was formed and some of its fascinating history with a special video presentation. Lunch and complete bar service are available for purchase.

Sunday Brunch, with a side of Big Blue

You’ve never had breakfast quite like this… our fully featured, 2-hour Sunday brunch cruise takes you aboard the M.S. Dixie II to Glenwood for on-water dining and sightseeing. Cinnamon French Toast, eggs, smoked bacon, pastries and fresh-brewed coffee are a treat for the senses, while your eyes feast on secret East Shore coves, towering Cave Rock, remnants of the scuttled S.S. Tahoe and sprawling lakefront estates hidden to most Tahoe visitors. Please note that this cruise does not go to Emerald Bay.

Captain's Dinner Dance on the M.S. Dixie

Sailing off into the sunset, you're on your way to a magical evening of dinner, dancing, and starlit strolls. A narration featuring intriguing stories about Fanette Island and Vikingsholm, will whet your appetite for four gourmet courses. Select from entrees like Angus beef top sirloin or macadamia-crusted mahi-mahi. Our signature cocktails and fine wines are available for purchase. Features Safari playing hits from all eras. Parties wishing to be seated together should be on the same reservation.
