What is your pet policy?
Pets are welcome in the RV Park free of charge and in the Zephyr Cove cabins for a charge of $15 a night. Unfortunately, pets are prohibited in the Lodge rooms.

What kind of hook ups do the RV sites have?
The RV sites include: water, sewer, electricity, cable TV, and phone lines that are included with the nightly rate.
Can you accommodate a 40’ RV or bigger?
Yes, we have several sites that can accommodate a 40’ RV or bigger.
Is this a state or a private park?
This is a private park managed by Aramark and operated on U.S.F.S. land.
Do you allow monthly stays?
Unfortunately, we cannot permit any stays longer than 14 days consecutively and no more than 28 days within a calendar year.
Do you have a swimming pool?
We do not have a swimming pool on the property, however you can swim in the lake, which is the warmest in July and August.
Can I have a campfire in the cabin area?
Campfires are prohibited in the cabin area.
How many people can your cabins accommodate?
We have a variety of cabins that accommodate anywhere from 2 – 10 people depending on the size of the cabin.
What times do the boats go out?
The M.S. Dixie II departs at 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM and for a dinner cruise (6:30 PM or 7:30 PM Daily - Please check cruise schedule) The Tahoe Queen departs at 11:00 AM, 2:30 PM and 6:30 PM

Is there food on the boat?
There is a full restaurant and bar available for purchase aboard all of our day time cruises. The M.S. Dixie II also offers a deli lunch buffet option prepaid for an additional $12 or can be purchased on board for $14. All of our evening cruises include dinner in the ticket price.
Can I bring my little dog on the boat?
The only dogs allowed on board are service dogs.
Can you bring food on the boat?
Food is not allowed on the boats, however there is a menu and deli lunch buffet option available for purchase on the day cruises and dinner is included with the evening cruises.
Where are you located?
The M.S. Dixie II is located 4 miles past the casinos on the Nevada side at Zephyr Cove. The Tahoe Queen is located 1 mile south of the casino’s turn right on Ski Run Blvd.
How long is the rope that is attached to the parachute on your Parasailing Boat?
Depending on conditions, our rope plays out to 800’ to 1,000’ behind and above our boat. It really is quite a thrill!
Why do WaveRunners appear to be less expensive to rent at some other Tahoe Marinas?
It is all in the details. We have no hidden costs on our WaveRunner rentals. Other marinas will impose a fuel and/or Marina usage surcharge, and the ultimate rental cost will wind up being greater than Zephyr Cove. When shopping around, be sure to ask for the total cost of the rental.
Do you rent boats at night for the fireworks on the evening of the 4th of July?
No, we feel it is somewhat unsafe to be out on the lake on a smaller boat that evening. When is the best time of day to rent a boat?
Morning is the best time to rent a boat. The water tends to be smoother in the morning when there is less wind. Plus, we offer great A.M. discounts on our rental fees.
How many people can comfortably fit into your rental boats?
Most of our boats will comfortably fit 8 -10 people. Remember, it is against the law to overload a boat. Government regulations count every “soul” on board as a person, regardless of size, age, or gender.
Do you rent or sell fishing equipment? Do you sell bait or tackle?
Not at our marina, no.
Do you sell fishing licenses at the Zepyer Cove Marina
No, Raley’s Supermarket at the Crescent V shopping center is the nearest place to Zephyr Cove to buy a license. By the way, both Nevada and California fishing licenses are legal on Lake Tahoe.

Lake Tahoe’s surface area is 193 square miles, and its shoreline is 72 miles long (42 miles in CA and 30 miles in NV). Lake Tahoe's depth is up to 1,685 feet, with an average of 989 feet. The lake's surface elevation is 6,229 feet above sea level. To help you grasp the size of Lake Tahoe, its waters could cover the state of California to a depth of 14.5 inches!
Does Lake Tahoe freeze in the winter?
No, Lake Tahoe never freezes due to the constant circulation of water from the bottom of the lake to the surface. Emerald Bay froze over in February 1989—a rare event!
How much snow does Lake Tahoe get?
At lake level, annual snowfall averages 125 inches. At alpine skiing elevations, the snowfall averages 300 to 500 inches each year.
Is the snowmobile tour fun?
The ride is a blast. Although we advertise the ride as a scenic tour, we cover a lot of ground and ride up to almost 9,000 ft.
I've never driven a snowmobile. Can I take your tour?
We love first time riders. "First timers" are careful and pay attention!
How many snowmobiles are in each group?
We like to run eight to twelve machines in each group, with one lead guide, and one tail guide.
Do you divide your snowmobile riders into groups according to their ability and experience?
Although we do ask experienced riders to ride in the front of the line, we divide the groups by number of machines, not by experience.
Can my entire family ride in the same group?
Yes, we don't separate friends and families.
Can my family watch me snowmobile at the trailhead?
No, you are only at the trailhead for a few brief minutes. Once you leave, your family wouldn't see you again for almost two hours.
Can we fit 3 riders on one snowmobile?
Only two riders maximum on each machine, regardless of size or weight.
If we rent a double rider snowmobile, can we switch drivers?
There are 3 or 4 stops during the tour where you can trade off driving.
How fast do we get to go on the snowmobiles?
Since our trails are very windy and are basically four-wheel and logging roads, the terrain dictates average speeds of 15 to 25 mph.
During the tour is there a place, like a meadow, where you turn us loose on our snowmobiles?
Because of obstacles off trail, all Lakeview tours stay on trail between the lead and tail guides.
Are there any photo stops along the way?
Yes. Not only do we tour through some of the most beautiful country anywhere, we also have spectacular views of the Lake Tahoe Basin. Each tour is designed to stop at various locations for photo opportunities.
How many miles do we ride on the Lakeview Tour?
Usually between 15 and 20, depending on the weather, etc.
I ride wave runners a lot. Does that count for experience on the Private Snowmobile Tour?
While previous experience on other forms of ATV's (All Terrain Vehicles) doesn't hurt, snowmobiles are different. No other ATV is designed to operate on snow. Therefore, some experience on a snowmobile is required for this tour.
Why can't we ride double on the Private Snowmobile Tours?
We like to ride off trail on this tour and double rider machines get "buried" in the powder. Also, we "side-hill" a lot and double riders can't balance their machines properly.
